A container deposit scheme to serve Tasmania's needs

Tasmanian citizens draw to the attention of the House the need for Tasmania to have an effective and efficient container deposit scheme that best serves Tasmania's needs. 

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to implement a community (producer responsibility) container deposit scheme which is open to greater participation by local Tasmanian businesses, community groups and sporting clubs, which supports local jobs, and which maximises benefits for the community, the environment and the Tasmanian circular economy.
