Speed Limit Reductions on Non-Urban Roads

The petition of the undersigned Tasmanian Citizens draws to the attention of the House that they reject any need for wide ranging speed limit reductions on non-urban roads around Tasmania. Your Petitioners therefore calls on the House to:- • Disallow any regulations tabled by the Labor/Green Government to bring about such speed limit reductions; and • Strongly promote the "drive-to-the-conditions" message to Tasmanian motorists; and • Provide funding for better maintenance and upgrades on state-owned roads in Tasmania.
