TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Assembly (Tasmania)
Tasmanian Citizens draw to the attention of the House that the law at present is allowing the court system to grant bail to dangerous recidivist juveniles only for them to continue to commit more violent crimes while they are still at large in the community.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to take such action as may be necessary to tighten the laws to mandate that such dangerous individuals be detained either in prison or home detention until they are tried.
