The electors of Lyons and the Friends of Waubs Bay draws to the attention of the House the need to protect Waubs Bay, Bicheno, so that marine life can thrive naturally, and the bay's biodiversity can be safeguarded for future generations. Protecting Waubs Bay area will help conserve marine species, allowing natural populations to flourish undisturbed, increase in abundance and ultimately spill over into other parts of the bay.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call on the Government to zone the area as a marine sanctuary to serve as a fish propagation area.
