Save StudentWorks

The petition of the undersigned Citizens of Tasmania draws to the attention of the House:

• That StudentWorks in Launceston has been a valuable learning institution for over 40 years.
• That under its current model StudentWorks has provided a vocational pathway for many students for whom the traditional school environment is unsuitable.
• The Government intends to reshape the facility into a T4 hybrid program meaning the valuable vocational educational pathways will be lost.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call upon the Government to abandon its plan to effectively cease StudentWorks operation and reinvest in this vital learning pathway for young people.
